The McPherson Family

I haven't been on here for quite some time, but I figured I'd add a quick note about some research on two McPherson family members buried in McCaffery Cemetery in West Lincoln, Ontario.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Absalom McPherson was born around 1831 in Gainsboro, Ontario, to John and Margaret McPherson. He married Louisa Ann Lymburner on September 14th of 1864 in Lincoln, Ontario. He later married Nancy Maria Emerick on October 20th, 1896 in Townsend, Norfolk, Ontario, when he was 64.

Louisa Ann Lymburner was born around 1834 to Jacob and Anna Lymburner. She was born in Caistor, Lincoln, Ontario. She had at least four children with Absalom - Maggie (born 1862), Annie Cirerlla (Cirella?) (born around 1869), Hattie G (born about 1875), and Ella May (born about 1873).

       - Maggie married Peter W Emerick, the son of Ephraim and Sirisia Emerick, on February 9th 1881 in Caistor, Lincoln, Ontario.

     - Annie Cirerlla (Cirella?) married Walter John Bouk, the son of John and Elizabeth Ann Bouk on June 6th 1894 in Attercliffe, Haldimand, Ontario.

     - Hattie G was living with her mother in 1901 in Grenville, Ontario. She was listed as single.

    - Ella May married Herbert Richard Diltz, the son of Hamilton Diltz and Lydia Dibble, on October 4th 1894 in Dunnville, Haldimand, Ontario.

   - The parents of Louisa Ann, Jacob and Anna, are potentially the Jacob and Anna Lymburner buried in the Lymburner family cemetery in Niagara Regional Municipality. Jacob died May 6 1847 and Anna died February 15 1879. The only problem is Jacob would've been in his 60s at the time of Louisa's birth, while Anna would've been 32.

The Bowerman Family

My research on this family began after viewing some photographs my mum took when she went to a cemetery in Prince Edward County. I had no idea which cemetery, but upon searching on the internet, I found out that it was the Bowerman Hill Cemetery in Hallowell, Prince Edward County, and so my search on the Bowerman family began!                                    Stephen & Elizabeth Bowerman Stephen Job Bowerman was born December 31st of 1848 to Gideon Hughes Bowerman and Mary S Christy. He had two known younger brothers, Albert Claude  (born 1850, married Lillian Thorn after Ida E Bedell), and James (born 1852, married Charlotte Jane and later Melvina). Stephen  married Elizabeth Lucas on September 20th of 1869, and they had five known children. He is buried in Bowerman Hill Cemetery in Hallowell. Elizabeth Lucas  was born November 21st, 1850 in Belleville, Hastings County, to Miles Lucas (1824-1903)   and Olive Bowerman (1823-1901, dau. of John and Mary) . She died August 2

The Jamestown Masonic Cemetery

When I was in Jamestown, Tuolumne County, California, I decided to go visit the Jamestown Masonic Cemetery located on Jamestown road and easily accessible from Golden Chain Highway 49. I noticed that there are quite a lot of masonic cemeteries and gravestones in and around the Jamestown area.  Jamestown is technically a ghost town from the days of the California Gold Rush, although it does have a small population these days. She died on September 6th 1870 aged 8 years, 7 months, and 22 days. Her cause of death is unknown.                                                           Grace Elenor Dixon Grace Elenor

The Teeft Family

I was working on sorting some photos I had taken last year, when I started trying to figure out who some of the people were. This tends to happen easily....and so, another post shall be written. This post begins in Diltz Road Cemetery in Attercliffe Station in Haldimand, Ontario, Canada. There are many names there such as Dolan, Teeft, and Houser, and all three are involved in today's post. There is certainly more work to be done on this, but I figured I would write up this post and add to it as I research more, since it can get overwhelming to do it all at once.                                        James Alfred Teeft & Elizabeth Jane Putman James Alfred Teeft was born May 9th of 1843 and died October 13th of 1922. He died of Bronchitis, and the contributory factor in his death was that he had Broncho Pneumonia. It is unknown when, but he married Elizabeth Jane Putman who was born October 21st, 1843, and died December 12th, 1912. They had four known children. John Wesle
